Recently I have been helping out my gorgeous friend Louise. gather ideas for her up and coming wedding in August this year. She is having a beautiful ceremony at a Unitarian Church in Wilmslow, this is actually where I got married in September, so I know how beautiful a wedding there actually is. It's called Dean Row Chapel in Wilmslow, Cheshire (i have popped a picture below from my day :) )and its just a really special place. If you don't know what the Unitarian faith is I urge you to look it up, I will probably write another post about this in the future.
For the reception she is having a marquee located at a nearby community centres field in picturesque Cheshire. My friend isn't the kind of person to want a full theme as such as in a big colour running through the day but she still wanted key features to bring it altogether, So recently whilst using one of my favourite sites ever, Pinterest (if your not a member, go and take a look, a must for any bride to be) I spotted some stunning lavender bridesmaid bouquets.
The colour is perfect for a vintage wedding, that sort of mauve colour that won't take over. The great thing is as well with lavender is that is cheap, you won't pay as much for a lavender bouquet as you would for a flower bouquet and also it smells beautiful. She now plans to fill jam jars full of it for the chapel which then can be placed into the marquee after the ceremony has finished- a great money saving tip!
Lavender can then be used for the button holes, the colour can be used for the invitation and she will always be reminded of her beautiful day when she smells the perfume of lavender for years to come.
